I created this wedding planning company to share my enthusiasm for life and the people we share it with. I believe we should take every opportunity to celebrate and I have a passion for any occasion that brings us closer to our family and friends.

I began my journey in Ottawa as a Wedding Planner to satisfy the two distinct sides of my personality; the meticulous, business-savvy side with the girl that has artistic flare and an eye for design! The precise time-line, the thrill of last-minute changes, vibrant flowers, stunning dresses and inspiring decor are all captivating! But what grabs my heart is that moment then the doors swing open, the music swells and the bride tightens her grip on the bouquet. She rounds the corner and positions herself perfectly in the doorway to pause, I fluff her train then nod with encouragement and I catch a glimpse... I have a front row seat for that magical moment when time stands still, the bride and groom lock eyes and they're both thinking, I have never seen you look more beautiful.

Having couples invite me into their lives to share in these moments is the most incredible gift. My emotional connection with them is what makes me not only love my job but also makes me exceptionally good at what I do. When I graduated from Algonquin College with an Event Management Certificate I was determined to start my career in the Wedding industry. I completed my Certification from the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada and was fortunate enough to gain two years of experience at Strathmere (Premiere Ottawa Venue) as a Wedding and Special Event Coordinator in addition to ten years of food and beverage experience. After my time at Strathmere and with over 75 happy couples, I knew it was time to launch Allison Turner, live love plan!
